VDP. Weinbörse

For more than 50 years, the VDP.Weinbörse has been Germany’s central gathering for German fine wine. Bringing together almost all 198 VDP.Estates under one roof, it showcases wines from every German wine-growing region in their full stylistic diversity, offering the first comprehensive insight into the new vintage.

In 2027, the VDP.Weinbörse will focus on shaping the future of German fine wine. The accompanying masterclasses will explore key questions facing the wine world: the interaction between origin and individual styles od winemaking, the potential for outstanding wines from challenging vintages, and the stylistic evolution of Riesling and its prospects in an increasingly warm climate.

In addition to the VDP.Weinbörse, the VDP offers exclusive trips for international wine professionals from the press, media, sommellerie and wine import sectors to the VDP.Regions of Baden, Mittelrhein, Nahe, Pfalz, Rheingau, Rheinhessen, Sachsen/Saale-Unstrut and Württemberg. Each trip features an individually tailored programme with its own thematic focus, providing an opportunity to discover the wines, estates and people that define each region firsthand.

Another highlight is the presentation of the “Ausgezeichnetes Weinkonzept” award (Outstanding Wine Concept). Beyond the professional tastings, a variety of events will offer opportunities to experience Mainz’s wine culture outside the exhibition venue.
